Built on an original 1960s magazine article on presidential succession, bylined by Dwight D. Eisenhower. An oversized cut-out face with red-hot eyes dominates the page, crowned by smaller portraits whose eyes have been whited out. Hand-cut type delivers the warning (“Expect the unexpected!”) and a stained-glass fragment quietly announces THE END. The head breaks past the bottom edge of the board, so the piece literally refuses to stay contained.
Original analog collage on hard canvas board, approx. 8" x 10". One of a kind, created by Shawn.
