I'm Laura Woodside — Spiritual Healer & Coach, Senior Graphic Designer, Creative Director, single mom, and a woman who spent a long time trying to figure out why certain things kept happening to her. Spoiler: it was the dysregulation in my nervous system.

By day I'm wearing all the hats a designer does — brand identity, editorial design, and visual strategy — for companies across Dallas and beyond. By night I'm tiling backsplashes by watching YouTube at midnight, cooking things my kid will actually eat, and doing the kind of inner work that most people don't talk about in polite company. This site exists because I got tired of keeping those worlds separate.

The design work is real. Ten-plus years of it — newspapers, magazines, fashion, national brands, and everything in between. I hold a BFA in Communication Technology with a minor in Communication Studies and a Certificate of Emerging Media from UT-Arlington. I've been Editor-in-Chief of a university newspaper, Art Director at a luxury magazine, and I currently serve as Senior Graphic Designer at Dezine News Accessories. My studio, Designers with Purpose, is where I take on client work I’m passionate about.

The healing work is just as real. I'm neurodivergent, I've done the therapy, and I've sat with the uncomfortable stuff long enough to want to talk about it out loud. The Wounded Inner Child series on YouTube started as me trying to understand myself and turned into something that apparently a lot of people needed. Shadow work, inner child theory, nervous system regulation, chakra exploration — no gatekeeping, no $2,000 courses, no toxic positivity. Just the honest path back to yourself.

And the lifestyle stuff? That's the glue. Because I'm also just a single mom figuring out how to renovate a bathroom on a budget, meal prep on a Sunday, and show up fully for a kid who deserves a mom who isn't running on empty.
